Actively engaged in the community, Colliers International contributes to society through a wide range of community programmes and our annual corporate social initiative, Out for Good this year was held on 27 October at The Hong Kong Adventist Hospital – Tsuen Wan. Over 150 Colliers volunteers raise funds for the hospital’s “Children Medical Fund” through participating in the team activity “Golf Meets Hockey”, singing songs of hope for kids and handcrafting 180 necessities gift boxes for families in need.

Out for Good was launched in 2011 and it is a day which all the staff in the office put aside their work to devote themselves to the community. “At Colliers, we are deeply committed to the role we play in the community. I am very pleased to spend a meaningful day with the Colliers volunteers and work with Hong Kong Adventist Hospital Foundation to raise funds for the Children’s Medical Fund. Colliers will continue its long-term commitment to community services and to support chartable organisations for social causes”. Nigel Smith, Managing Director of Colliers International Hong Kong said. Colliers has raised HKD60,000 for the Hong Kong Adventist Foundation. The used materials from the team activity were recycled and sent to Chicken Soup Foundation while the care boxes were delivered to J Life to help low income and single parent families in Hong Kong.

Hong Kong Adventist Hospital Foundation was established in 1999. It aims to provide timely medical treatment to the sick and underprivileged children in Asia through its Heart, Hearing, Medical and Orthopaedic Charity Funds. The Foundation also helps people in need through its Cancer Fund and Eye Fund. In 2010, it expanded its charitable work to Nepal where it provides ontological surgery for local children and adults.
