SMEs, or Small and Medium Enterprises, contribute greatly to the economy and can be, like in Hong Kong, the engine of growth. SMEs consist of a great diversity of industries and sectors. The only common factor is that they are small, which implies the obvious lack of resources, whether in the form of time or employees.
It is a long-term strategy of ours to help SMEs. We have within the French Chamber membership some large corporations with specialists who comprehend and master information.
In 1997, The French Chamber established the SME Committee. Comprising of SMEs, it acts as a forum for members to express their views and interests.
With a very dynamic approach, the French Chamber has begun an innovative project offering support services to French SMEs or SMEs owned by French nationals. "FORUM SME" provides a link with the advisers of large companies in various industries and services.
