Join this session to hear from the experts and learn how tech reshapes the offshoring landscape in financial services.

Offshored activities are now part of the BAU (Business As Usual) of financial services, whereby a part or full range of activities is managed in other locations through captive or outsourced managed services. Initially, these activities began with support functions; now, some core operational activities are being managed offshore, with some organisations acting as coordinators between various centres.

The evolution of regulation and technology has enabled organisations to offshore a larger portion of their activities while maintaining ownership and control.

In this panel, we will address the elephant in the room and discuss the future of offshoring with practitioners and technology experts.

  • Defining the terms onshore, nearshore, offshore, and the panorama of offshoring in Asia.

  • A sharing session on the DOs and DON'Ts learned from past experience.

  • Examining the integration of the fast-paced progress in technology and its implications, along with strategic considerationsfor organisations to optimise operations and gain a competitive edge.
