Join this session to get to know how the unprecedented AGEC regulation impacts companies greatly.
The AGEC law is an unprecedented regulation that brought massive changes for companies. This session aims to give a general overview of its provisions.
- The first objective is to prevent waste through a large ban on single use plastic and the fight against food waste.
- The law strengthens the protection of consumers by providing a better information on:
- marketing claims,
- environmental qualities of products and packagings,
- sorting waste
- To achieve a better ecological transition, the promotion of re-use is an important step, and the law tries to encourage companies in this way by, among other things, banning the destruction of unsold goods and forbidding the systematic printing of receipts.
- Finally, based on the principle of Extended Producer's Responsibility (EPR) the law builds a detailed framework for eco-organization and adds a provision to ensure that companies will implement a real strategy through a prevention and eco-conception plan.
