We will welcome Prenetics and HSBC Life to take a look at the basics of genetic testing and its benefits for the healthcare industry.

Direct-to-consumer DNA testing is one of today's most popular healthcare products. For ancestry to potential health risks, the data derived from one's simple test at home can disclose so much information and help minimise future health problems at an affordable cost.

We will be joined by Danny Yeung, Co-Founder and CEO, Prenetics, Celia Chan, Chief Health Officer, HSBC Life, and Prof. Nelson Tang of Faculty of Medicine, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, to provide answers to key questions including:

  • How does genetic testing work?
  • What products are available for consumer and corporate use?
  • How accurate are these tests and how is the data utilised in the business sector?
  • What are the benefits for the healthcare services, insurance, and biotechnology industries?
  • What are the potential risks?

Supported by the Chamber's Digital Innovation Committee as well as the Healthcare and Insurance Committee, this webinar will help you better understand the principles of genetic testing and the new business practices brought forward by direct-to-consumer DNA tests.
