Join this Legal session to hear about 'Main principles and impact on multinational enterprises’ tax strategy and business organization'.

Join this online Legal Committee session to hear from Fabien Billiaert (Partner and Attorney at law, Member of the Paris Bar, Arsene Taxand) about the main principles and impact on multinational enterprises’ tax strategy and business organisation.

Focusing first on digital economy, Fabien will look at the Pillar Two Model Rules (also referred to as the 'Anti Global Base Erosion' rules) agreed upon in October 2021 by 137 countries and jurisdictions under the OECD/G20 Inclusive Framework on BEPS, which will finally introduce an important reform to the international tax system, to ensure Multinational Enterprises (MNEs) will be subject to a minimum 15% tax rate from 2023.

The webinar will present the overall design of the Pillar Two, namely the enterprises in scope, the determination of the so-called top-up tax and the allocation of the said tax between entities. Then, we will examine the practical implications already observed or expected in the near future in terms of organisation of activities and tax planning for international groups.
