Carola RichterPresident, South & East Asia, ASEAN and Australia & New Zealand at BASF

Carola Richter has lived and worked in Hong Kong on three separate occasions, this time as President, South & East Asia, ASEAN and Australia & New Zealand for BASF.

After working as a strategy consultant with McKinsey & Company, Carola started her career with BASF in 2003. She has held various management positions in areas such as strategic development as well as business management in BASF. Before her current role in Hong Kong, she was Senior Vice President in the Corporate Development Division in Ludwigshafen, Germany.

Born and educated in Southern Germany, Carola completed studies in Mathematics and Physics and obtained her PhD in Physics from Heidelberg University. As Vice President of the GCC board, she enjoys being able to positively contribute to Hong Kong while promoting the German business community.
