Christile DrulheConsul General of France in Hong Kong and Macau

Christile Drulhe was appointed Consul General of France in Hong Kong and Macau by decree of the President of the French Republic dated 12 May 2022. Previously serving as Deputy Diplomatic Advisor to the Prime Minister (2020-2022), she took office in Hong Kong on 31 August 2022.

Upon entering the French diplomatic service in 2004, Christile Drulhe was assigned to the Directorate for Asia and Oceania at the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs (2004-2007), before being appointed Political Counsellor at the French Embassy in Beijing (2007-2011).

She also held posts in Brussels at the Permanent Representation of France to the European Union (2011-2012) and at the European External Action Service (2012-2015).

On her return to the central administration in Paris, she was appointed Head of the North East Asia Department (2015-2019). She then served under the French Permanent Representative to the Pacific Community (2019) and at the Directorate for Economic Diplomacy (2019-2020).

Christile Drulhe holds postgraduate degrees in Public Administration and in Sociology from Sciences Po Paris. She also majored in Philosophy at the Paris-Sorbonne University and in Chinese Studies at the National Institute for Oriental Languages and Civilizations (Inalco).

She speaks French, English, German and Mandarin Chinese.
