Franki ChiuDirector / Environment, Arup
Ir Franki Chiu is a Fellow of Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE) and has more than 3 decades of experience in various environmental aspects.
He is currently the Director of Arup responsible for all the statutory Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) and environmental studies in HK and Macau, covering different categories of infrastructure and planning applications, including new town developments, railways, highways, residential development etc. He also serves as the technical reviewers for the Environmental and Social Impact Assessments (ESIAs) for development projects in South East Asia (eg the Philippines, Vietnam etc).
Among the environmental aspects that Franki leads, environmental noise is one of the key strengths that he has developed over the years, covering a board spectrum including road traffic noise, construction noise, industrial noise, rail noise, construction noise and more.
Franki is also appointed by the Environment and Ecology Bureau (Environmental Branch) of HKSAR as one of the members to serve the Noise Control Appeal Board Panel.
