Lorenzo AntinoriFounder of Bar Leone Hong Kong, Shanghai and Montana
Born and raised in Trastevere, Rome, Lorenzo Antinori began his career in London at Ryan Chetiyawardana's Dandelyan and the American Bar at The Savoy. He moved to Four Seasons Hotel Seoul, leading Charles H. to No. 14 on Asia's 50 Best Bars, before arriving in Hong Kong in 2019 as Hotel Beverage Manager at Four Seasons Hong Kong. There he took Caprice Bar to No. 10 on Asia's 50 Best, then created and opened ARGO, which debuted at No. 3 on Asia's 50 Best and No. 28 on the World's 50 Best in 2022.
In June 2023, Lorenzo opened Bar Leone a tribute to classic and modern classic cocktails with a strong Italian influence, rooted in the spirit of his Roman upbringing. Bar Leone debuted as The Best Bar in Asia in 2024, and in 2025 was named The World's Best Bar and Best International Cocktail Bar at the Tales of the Cocktail Spirited Awards. Lorenzo was also honoured as International Bartender of the
Year at the 2025 Spirited Awards. Bar Leone expanded to Shanghai in November 2025. That same year, Lorenzo co-founded Montana with Simone Caporale of Sips, channelling the golden age of Cuban
cocktails through the rhythm of 1970s Miami. Beyond the bar, Lorenzo serves as Global Mixologist Consultant for Qatar Airways, overseeing
the airline's in-flight beverage programme.
Lorenzo also cares deeply about training the next generation of bartenders, and believes the best way to teach is by example. That conviction led to the Bar Leone Stage programme, which brings young hospitality talent from around the world to Hong Kong to work, train and grow alongside the team.
