Join us for our Back to Work session!

Alicia Garcia Herrero, Chief Economist, Asia Pacific at Natixis, will provide an in-depth analysis of the key developments currently shaping the economic outlook for China, Hong Kong, and Asia more broadly.
During this session, she will address:
- The war in Iran, which remains one of the central uncertainties for the global economy, with significant implications for Asia.
- China’s resilience to the energy shock, as well as its relatively favorable position under a more accommodating Trump administration.
- China’s domestic economy, which continues to underwhelm despite this resilience.
- Hong Kong’s ongoing but incomplete recovery, balancing significant opportunities from RMB internationalization with challenges arising from China’s crackdown on capital outflows and US-China strategic competition.
This session will provide members with valuable insights into these key dynamics and a better understanding of the factors currently shaping the economic outlook for China and Hong Kong amid a rapidly evolving global environment.
