Professor Jean-Pierre Cabestan will outline the key talking points from the latest NPC and look into the main developments and strategies presented.

As China has just concluded the Two Sessions of the National People’s Congress (NPC) and the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, a host of new economic and political measures have been proposed in a particularly challenging context.

With China striving to remain at the forefront of the global economy, its new strategies must also respond to the growing trade, geo-strategic and ideological tensions with the West, especially the United States, and the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Professor Jean-Pierre Cabestan, an expert in Chinese politics, will outline the key talking points from the Two Sessions and look into the main developments and strategies presented.
