Celebrating 40 Years of CIC in Asia Pacific and a Leadership Transition

As Crédit Industriel et Commercial (CIC) marks 40 years of presence in the Asia Pacific region, the Hong Kong Branch is proud to celebrate its integral role in this journey, which began with the establishment of the regional headquarters in Singapore in 1984.

As part of Crédit Mutuel Alliance Fédérale, a leading cooperative and mutualist banking group, CIC Hong Kong Branch is more than just a financial institution; it has been a trusted partner for clients in Hong Kong and across the region, driving sustainable economic development.

Mr. Daniel BAAL, Chairman of Crédit Mutuel Alliance Fédérale and CIC, visited Singapore and Hong Kong in April 2025 to mark this milestone. He reaffirmed the group’s commitment in providing innovative solutions tailored to the region’s unique needs.

This anniversary year also witnesses a significant leadership transition for CIC in Asia Pacific. We are pleased to announce the appointment of Aymeric MICHAUD as Chief Executive Officer, Asia Pacific, based in Singapore. Aymeric is no stranger to Hong Kong, having held key management roles here and in Singapore since joining CIC in 2011. His deep understanding of the regional landscape, including the Hong Kong market, positions him ideally to lead our next chapter of growth in the region.

Under his leadership, and with the support of our strong teams across Asia Pacific—including our dedicated Hong Kong Branch—CIC will continue to build meaningful and lasting client relationships, based on trust, performance, and mutual success.

From its two branches in Singapore and Hong Kong, CIC deploys the group’s full suite of Corporate & Institutional Banking services through three key pillars:

  • Financing: corporate banking, real estate finance, project finance, acquisition finance, and asset-based finance particularly in aviation and shipping.
  • Capital Markets: commercial hedging and funding solutions.
  • Investment: proprietary strategies.

The Hong Kong Branch looks forward to continuing its commitment to the market, strengthening its role as a key gateway for business and a pivotal branch within CIC's Asia Pacific network.
