John Lobb opens new flagship store in Hong Kong

John Lobb celebrated the opening of a new flagship store in Hong Kong at Landmark Prince’s with an exclusive press preview. The store takes each guest on a visual and sensory exploration, inspired by John Lobb’s famed journey from Cornwall to London. A workshop table with an assortment of cordwainer tools serve as homage to the house’s unique craftsmanship whilst the interior’s warm tones and streamlined aesthetics reflect on John Lobb’s refinement and modern elegance.

Born in Cornwall, bootmaker John Lobb opened his first Regent Street store in 1866. The brand, famed for its finely crafted and durable designs, operates a ready-to –wear collection as well as bespoke and By Request services.

Named artistic director of John Lobb in 2014, Paula Gerbase finds inspiration in the naturalistic tones of the house’s rural origins. Drawing from John Lobb’s rich archive of bespoke Women’s shoes and boots, a dedicated ready-to -wear collection launches in 2017.

Reimagined for this special occasion, the house’ most popular City II is exclusively crafted in Plum  and Navy Museum Calf utilising Gerbase’s ‘tensile’ construction, an innovation born  out of the continued pursuit to create the lightest, most comfortable Goodyear welted shoe.

“In the recent years, John Lobb has a strong dynamic in terms of international expansion, whilst positioning the bootmaker’s know-how as a unique contemporary signature.” says Guillaume de Seynes, chairman of John Lobb.
