Morning Talk: New Cybersecurity Regulation - What You Need to Know
Join this session for insights into Hong Kong’s Protection of Critical Infrastructures (Computer Systems) Bill

This session will open with a brief introduction to Hong Kong’s new Protection of Critical Infrastructures (Computer Systems) Bill, which came into effect on 1 January 2026. This new legislation establishes a clearer regulatory framework to safeguard essential computer systems from cyber threats and strengthen Hong Kong’s overall digital resilience.
Throughout the session, you will gain practical insights thanks to a panel discussion featuring 4 experts in cybersecurity. Together, they will clarify:
- What is genuinely new in the legislation
- How it reshapes operational resilience, incident reporting and governance
- What both regulated and non‑regulated organisations can learn from it
The discussion will also highlight the expected benefits for users and the public, from fewer disruptions to clearer accountability, before concluding with the most common misconceptions about the Bill.
