BOCHK named winner of the Bancassurer of the Year – Excellence Award in Financial Institution Awards 2021 by Bloomberg Businessweek (Chinese Edition)
Bank of China (Hong Kong) Limited (“BOCHK”) has been named winner of the Bancassurance of the Year - Excellence Award in the Financial Institution Awards 2021 organised by Bloomberg Businessweek (Chinese Edition). BOCHK has continuesly` with the honour recognises the Bank’s outstanding performance in bancassurance business. BOCHK was also given Outstanding Award in the same category last year.
Arnold Chow, Deputy General Manager, Personal Digital Banking Products Department of BOCHK, said: “BOCHK continues to maintain its leading position in the bancassurance sector, and its performance is well-recognised by the industry. As of the end of June, the Bank’s endowment and whole-life protection products account for 80% of its life insurance business (calculated by standard premium of new policies), among which, the total number of transactions involving whole-life protection products has significantly increased by over 80% year-on-year, reflecting the strong customer demand for insurance products. The Bank will continue to work closely with BOC Life and China Life to enhance its life insurance product offering and online sales channel. Capitalising on its expertise and extensive service network, BOCHK is committed to providing customers with superior insurance services.”
Bloomberg Businessweek (Chinese Edition) organises the Financial Institution Awards to support and recognise outstanding financial institutions every year. It will select the best performing financial institutions from various sectors including bancassurance based on their market performance, business growth, products and customer experience in the past year.

Companies with the highest and second highest scores will receive the Excellence Award and Outstanding Award respectively. The judging panel for the Awards is composed of economists, academics, industry experts, and representatives from the publication’s editorial team.
