Dear French Chamber community,

We are delighted to welcome all our new members and those who are newly arrived in Hong Kong, as well as our longstanding partners and contacts, as we start our new business year.

The last few weeks have been particularly challenging on many fronts, both at the international level and in Hong Kong. In these unique circumstances, the French Chamber will seek its members’ feedback through our Committees, which are the backbone of our community. We need your participation in order to allow us to assess and monitor the impacts on the various business sectors, and determine how the French Chamber can support its members.

The government has already announced an array of relief measures for businesses and individuals worth HK$19.1 billion, the full details of which can be found here. As a key business voice in Hong Kong, the dialogue with our members and wider community will also allow us to convey to the relevant government authorities the Chamber’s recommendations to support Hong Kong’s economy.

In the weeks ahead, we have planned a range of high-level business events and Committees’ meetings – check out our upcoming calendar. We also hope to see many of you at our upcoming Annual General Meeting and Annual Dinner on the 26th of September, which is always a great way to start the business year together.

The French Chamber, with its wide network, is here to support the business community. Do not hesitate to reach out to the Chamber’s management team or any member of the Council or Executive Committee.

At the Chamber, we remain confident that Hong Kong will show once again its resilience and bounce back, and we certainly all have a role to play to make this happen. Thanks to its unique advantages, we firmly believe Hong Kong will continue to play an important role in the development of the Greater Bay Area and the wider regional economy.

Rebecca Silli, President of the French Chamber in Hong Kong

Sophie Leconte, Executive Director of the French Chamber in Hong Kong
