Hong Kong Budget 2024-25 - Mazars in Hong Kong tax news

The Financial Secretary, Mr Paul Chan, delivered the 2024-25 Hong Kong budget on 28 February 2024. This is the second budget prepared by Mr Chan for the current-term government.

The theme of the 2024-25 Hong Kong budget is “Advance with Confidence, Seize Opportunities, Strive for High-quality Development.” which has been prepared against the backdrop of geopolitical uncertainties, high interest rates, complicated and ever-changing international environment and acceleration of digital transformation. By leveraging Hong Kong’s institutional advantages and the connectivity with the Mainland and the rest of the world under “One Country, Two Systems”, Mr Chan had absolute confidence in Hong Kong’s future.
