He advises French and European groups in all their set up and development projects in China in connection with M&A, acquisitions of Chinese companies, joint-ventures and partnership agreements, as well as on all their day-to-day matters: contracts and commercial law, economic and financial law, litigation.

Hubert Bazin joins the firm with Henrick Emeriau, senior associate. The Shanghai office will have two partners, Hubert and Fanny N'Guyen.

The firm, a front-runner in its international strategy, celebrated the 20th anniversary of its establishment in Hong Kong and its 10th anniversary in Shanghai in 2018. Since then, LPA-CGR avocats has successively opened offices in Dubai, Tokyo and Singapore, becoming the best-established French law firm in Asia.

Hubert Bazin comments: “I am excited to join the dynamic team of LPA-CGR avocats. I have always watched with interest the firm's international developments. Its success in China, Hong Kong, Japan and Singapore is intelligently based on local teams who are fully familiar with the region's ecosystem and economic fabric. With them, I will continue to advise our clients whose development and M&A projects in China show no signs of abating.”

Fanny N'Guyen, partner in the Shanghai office, and Raphael Chantelot, head of the China Desk in Paris, add: “LPA-CGR avocats reaffirms its aim of expanding in China and more broadly in Asia. Hubert is very well known in the Chinese market. We really look forward to working with him.
