HKTB Confirms Partnership with World Tourism Cities Federation Hong Kong to Host WTCF Fragrant Hills Tourism Summit in 2025 for First Time 400 Worldwide Federation Members to Visit Hong Kong
The Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) announced today (September 12) that the World Tourism Cities Federation (WTCF)’s “2025 WTCF Fragrant Hills Tourism Summit”, a major annual event of the global tourism organisation, will be held in Hong Kong for the first time in April next year. The Summit is expected to attract about 400 WTCF members from over 40 countries and regions to Hong Kong to participate in the WTCF Council meeting, keynote speeches, tourism showcases, tourism fairs and exhibitions, promoting co-operation among member cities and the travel trade of different regions.
During the World Conference on Tourism Cooperation and Development 2024 held in Beijing today, Mr Dane Cheng, Executive Director of the HKTB, and Mr Yang Shuo, Director General of the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism and Secretary General of the WTCF, signed an agreement for the staging of the 2025 Summit, witnessed by Mr Kevin Yeung, Secretary for Culture, Sports and Tourism and Ms Sima Hong, Vice Mayor of Beijing Municipality and Executive Vice-Chair of the WTCF Council.
