Successful month on the water for Beneteau in Asia-Pacific

With the sailing climate growing comfortable in Asia-Pacific, the waters are getting busy with exciting regattas and boat owner events. In the southern hemisphere, Sundance Marine – Beneteau’s regional partner for Victoria, Australia – hosted the 15th Victorian Beneteau Regatta in Melbourne on March 24th. With the attendance of 17 Beneteau boats, the event was a big hit for both sailing and socialising.

Up in the northern hemisphere in China, the 9th edition of the Round Hainan Regatta (RHN) – the nation's premier offshore regatta – set sail at the end of March, with participation from Beneteau owners. During this year’s event, Beneteau and its local dealer Visun Yachts created a Beneteau Cruiser Category, supported by the RHN organising committee. The participants in this special class were sailing amateurs with little to no experience, who received basic training before they battled it out on the water. The fleet was composed of models from the legendary Oceanis range, designed to deliver comfort at sea with high performance.

In the emerging market like the Philippines, the 2nd edition of the Nasugbu to Busuganga Race, title-sponsored by Beneteau’s regional partner Europa Yachts, completed successfully on March 10th with a Beneteau First 36.7 taking first place in the IRC class.

Beneteau and its local partners are active in organising a wide variety of sailing activities for Beneteau owners and the wider sailing community. Serving as an ambassador for the yachting lifestyle, Beneteau is committed promoting sailing throughout the region.
