APRIL International Care opens free teleconsultation service to support their members during the 2019-nCoV outbreak

As the number of 2019-nCoV cases continues to rise in Hong Kong and throughout the world, health insurance provider APRIL International Care is committed to support their insured members by providing them with free and unlimited medical advice via their Easy Claim app.

All APRIL members in Asia have now access to a 24/7 teleconsultation service on their insurance app, Easy Claim. To provide this service, APRIL has partnered with international virtual care provider Teladoc Health – who is already servicing 35 million clients in more than 130 countries and in 30 languages.

Easy access on Easy Claim

APRIL members can access this service through their insurance app Easy Claim. After sending a request on the app, a licensed healthcare practitioner will call them back within 3 hours. The number and duration of the calls is unlimited.

Answering concerns about the 2019-nCoV

Members can get in touch with one of our 50,000 healthcare practitioners if they wish to know more about:

  • CoV symptoms
  • How to protect their health better
  • What to do in case of symptoms

If they are feeling ill, they can also discuss their condition and symptoms with our doctors to find out whether it might possibly be related to 2019-nCoV. Statistically, if an individual is feeling sick, it will be much more likely from another virus and they will be able to receive proper medical advice.

If symptoms are moderate to severe or if the case is suspect, members will be advised to consult a doctor or go to the hospital.

This service is included in all our health insurance plans, regardless the level of cover or modules chosen by our members.
